Hum-Drum Response Rates?

Flyer_Page_1

6 tips to boost response…

1.  Simplify – Keep your “ask” clear, crisp and concise.  Not “Would you give between $250 & $350?”  Make it, “Consider a gift of $350 today.”

2.  Be Different – Get your message noticed…be unique.

3.  Have Fun with It - Did you generate excitement or a buzz with your message?  If you want to generate a good response, start a buzz.

4.  Test, Test, Re-test – You don’t learn anything from a one and done campaign…Test…it’s the only way to find out what was effective in your marketplace.

5.   Give the Facts Jack - Why should I give to you?   Here’s why:  Be specific.

6.  Let Me Say “Yes” the Way I Want to – Providing a variety of ways for prospects to respond will help to elevate response rates.

10 Tips to Marketing Your Next Event

Rescigno's Logo

Hosting events is a perfect way to bring in donations for your organization, however getting a large number of people to attend can sometimes prove difficult. Here are some tips on achieving maximum attendance results at your next event.

1.)    Target a carefully selected audience, making sure they are people who would

actually attend your event.

2.)    Make “invite only” offers. This makes those invited feel as though they were picked from a group specifically to attend this event.

3.)    Provide only a certain number of tickets to be available. Let people know how many are left on a consistent basis by updating your website, blog or social media accounts.

4.)    Use your social media accounts to your benefit. Create a hashtag for your event on your Twitter account and continue to update all forms of social media. This keeps your event current in your follower’s minds.

5.)    Share pictures, stories or testimonials from past events, showcasing the success of the past and asking them to be apart of the future.

6.)    Consider having a VIP experience at your event for those who reach a certain donation level.

7.)    Get publicity. Using a press release is often times the most effective way to reach a wide array of media, but make sure you use a specific angle in your release to maximize coverage potential. Talk about a fun aspect of your event or a prize to be drawn.

8.)    Be repetitive with your message by communicating the same message through different channels on a consistent basis.

9.)    Do your research before and after your event. Who were the people that attended and where did they come from? Find out how they heard about your event and what marketing tools seemed to be the most effective.

10.) Prepare for future events. Send out a survey to everyone who attended and

provide information about upcoming events perhaps with a discount on   attendance fees.

Incorporating a few of these tips into the planning stages of your next event is a promising way to receive more interest in your events and organization as whole.

QR Code Adoption Up 1200%

DirectMarketingBanner

One of the drawbacks to using QR Codes was user awareness and adoption. That is changing rapidly! A February 2011 report by Mobio Identity Systems, Inc., an international mobile payments and marketing company, QR Code adoption in North America is now “going ballistic.” Use and adoption jumped 1200% in the last 6 months of 2010.
Not convinced? Look around you. Marketing firms now regularly say that 2010 was the year that QR Code usage turned the corner. And by the way, have you been to Best Buy or Macy’s lately? Many of these kind of companies are seeing QR Code usage double and triple.

It’s clearly time for marketing departments to start paying attention to these ubiquitous game changers.
